I suck at blogging. My apologies... I haven't had time to eat or sleep, let alone write! I'll try and catch you guys up on things.
As far as life in Denver, things are looking up. I have moved away from the spiders and centipedes who have been my roommates at Grandma's house and into a nice clean apartment with a girl I work with. As we speak, I have 3 more nights in Denver and then I am home!
I got an extra Invesco credential for Obama's speech, so my stepdad is flying out to come to it with me. The added bonus is that now he can share the driving with me on Friday, because I know I will be very sleepy Friday morning.
My last day off was about 2 1/2 weeks ago and for those days I haven't worked less than 12 hours a day. So I am exhausted!! But it has been really fun and I really can't complain.
My two big jobs that I have been working on have been hotel and ticket allotment. I've basically placed all donors in hotels and coordinated to make all the reservations. It was a huge process which was hindered by the idiots we had to work with. Yesterday alone, I had 7 missing reservations to deal with. It all works out though and you have to realize that there is only so much you can do and things will go wrong.
I got to go to the Convention last night and sit in a suite. It was a really amazing experience. I am a sponsor liaison so I take care of about 60 donors. One donor I have is this great executive from 3M who has been so gracious and has been giving me tickets to every event he is going to. Anywho, he came and hung in my suite with me and it was a really great experience. Got to hear Michelle Obama speak, which obviously was very cool.
The only downside of the night was that I had 2 very angry donors because they didn't pick up their credentials and that was somehow my fault. But you can't make everyone happy all the time, so whatever!
I can't believe I am leaving on Friday. I feel like I have been here 3 years or 3 mins, depending on the hour. Its been a crazy, lonely, amazing, humbling experience and I can't believe its practically over. Its hard working for so long and so hard on something and watching the actual 4 days you worked so hard to plan fly by.
I got a whopping 4 hours of sleep last night so I am not exactly coherent. I will write more later.
